Rarely has the world seen so rich a cuisine as in India. India being a vast country having more than 27 states and more than 600 small and big towns, each reason has a different flavour. While in north and central India – it is the bread or most popularly known as Roti or Naan made of wheat flour which is eaten either with some Lentil, vegetables or with some curry, It is Idli or Dosa made of rice flour or different dishes of rice are the staple food in other regions of India. The royal families, alone, could claim some degree of variety in their meals because of the influence, first of the Mughals and later the English. Over the years the Mughals left a legacy which is now a days is being followed by most of the restaurants in big cities and in all the hotels by their Master Chefs.

Bestway Tours gives you an opportunity to taste these Royal Meals and also at the same time an opportunity to learn the art of Indian cooking. You are introduced to Master Chefs who would be too willing to part with you the secret of a particular dish. Also we shall arrange visits to an Indian House, where you will see and learn some dishes being prepared by the lady of the house for her lord. Remember in India all the food which is served on the table, be it breakfast or lunch or dinner is freshly cooked and no frozen foods. You will be surprised to know that even today 70 % of the house holds in India does not have refrigerators and just 0.5 % of the Homes have microwaves being only a recent gadget introduced in India.

The itinerary below gives you a chance to taste the food of the Noble Kitchens of Rajasthan :

Day 01
Arrive Delhi or Bombay and overnight at your Hotel.

Day 02 :
Udaipur – transfer to airport in time to connect your flight to Udaipur. Arrive Udaipur and drive to Kumbhalgarh for stay at Aodhi where the cuisine is traditional Rajasthani.

Day 03 :
Devgarh : Sightseeing at fort, then drive to Devgarh to stay at the Mahal (Palace) where a mix of Marwari and European cuisine awaits you.

Day 04 :
Pushkar : Leave for Pushkar where only vegetarian cuisine will be served. The rabri-malpua dessert is truly special. Overnight at the 400 year old Pushkar Palace.

Day 05 :
Nimaj : drive on to Nimaj, where at another fort ( Jagram Durg) delightful cuisine awaits you. Dinner is at the lakeside.

Day 06 :
Khimsar : On to Jodhpur, lunch at Ratan Villa, and continue to drive to Khimsar with its Royal Castle. A splendid dinner of the Marwari region can be served in the ruined part of the palace, or on the terrace, or even at the base of the sand dunes.

Day 07 :
Drive to Nawalgarh in the Shekhawati region. The dinner is by flaming torchlight in the open.

Day 08 :
Continue to Samode where the dinner is at the Bagh ( garden) in a tradition that has remained unchanged over the centuries.

Day 09 :
On to Jaipur where lunch is at Narain Niwas, another heritage hotel and after lunch drive to Agra and dinner is at Taj Khema with a view of the Taj Mahal. Taj Khema is the place where all the mud which came out of digging the land on which Taj Mahal is built. From here one can have a beautiful view of The Taj Mahal.

Day 10 :
After visiting Taj Mahal drive back to Delhi and transfer to the airport in time to connect flight to your onward destination.
